Mental / Physical / Emotional / Spiritual and the Soul
When we look at the human operating system it is a very complex structure of parts working together and evolving at the same time in different ways and speeds. We are truly holographic entities with definitive parts meshed together.
As we learn about how we operate, what the mechanics of the human system is and observe our own behaviour, we begin to see these four different parts distinctively in their own capacity. Those four parts of our being are held together on the physical plane through the etheric body.
The Physical body is the vehicle of expression on the physical plane. It includes the flesh, muscles and bones and correlates with the nervous system. Our Spirit energizes our Physical Body as they work together to create a life. You can call this part of our being the Design Crystal.
The physical body is made up of atoms and cells and the life of each internal organ. The Spleen governs the physical body and offers clues to the overall health and condition of the body.
The physical body actually includes a subtler sheath not easily seen but very obvious to those with the gift of clairvoyance and psychic awareness. This sheath is called the etheric body.
The etheric body is attached to five of the seven major glands of the physical body. It emanates outward from the core our being along the spinal column, creating the aura that surrounds our body.
This etheric body is an energy and light show of vibration and sound, color and tone occurring all around us and within us connecting us to everything there is on a macrocosmic level reaching into the heavens like a giant woven web. We actually contain more light and vibration than the dense physical matter of our bodies. This light and vibration connects us to all, flowing through our energy centers.
The etheric body attached to the glands, working with the Spleen and through the spinal holds the being in form and controls the amount of light and vitality that the body receives. Because of this intimate interconnection, the etheric body and the Physical Body are recognized as one unit but with two components.
The Mental Body is a product of our past and holds the characteristics and imprint of how much we have grown as an entity. This Mental Body is what we can refer to as the Personality Crystal.
The Mental Body is the main place of power in the human operating system. It is our intellect that dictates our perception of things and our reality. It also has an influence on our state of physical health and the amount of light it receives by what we believe in. Programming and reprogramming are also done at this level. Negative and positive patterns are created in this part of our being.
It has five powers that serve its function, the senses: hearing, touch, sight, taste and smell.
The five senses are located within the etheric body and find their expression in the nerve centers, brain cells, ganglia and plexus. These senses are primarily stimulated by the Emotional Center.
Through using the senses, a person becomes aware of their surroundings and investigates life on the physical plane. We touch, we taste, we smell, we see and take in this information to determine what is resonate and what is not, what is worthy and what is not and to differentiate between what is real and what is unreal.
The Mental Body orchestrates the physical body movement as It filters information and manifests according to its beliefs. The Mental Body is what chooses disease, images, and organizes the DNA. We use the Mental Body to control, to speak and make changes to the physical vehicle. The Mental Body enables us to realize that we exist and gives us the ability to feel and know.
The Mental Body uses roughly ten percent (10%) of the brains capacity. Outside of that ten percent is the place where our Spirit, our Higher Mind resides waiting patiently for us to discover that it is there attempting to communicate with us.
The Emotional Body is constructed outside of our inner core and is an entity that sits in the Solar Plexus. It is shaped according to our experiences and the lower frequencies of anger, fear and guilt with the past memories of destruction, and disaster. There are two parts to this Emotional body: an external expression and another part that lives outside of time and space and is related purely to passion, desire and preference.
The Emotional Body operates through radiating a frequency into our cells that create cellular memory in our Physical Body. This cellular imprint ultimately designs the physical body that we incarnate.
The Emotional Body is also what is connected to other people that we have been involved with in previous lifetimes. We can witness these karmic, family ties through parents, siblings, grandparents and children, and sometimes the lovers that we choose. These reoccurring lifetime relationships create a pattern that take us through lifetime after lifetime of repeated lessons that are intended to transform the nature of our being and wake us up to our divinity.
Whatever has been programmed into our Emotional Body is played out through our Mental Body. You can see the state of the Emotional Body and past lives through the eyes and in the hue of the aura.
The Emotional Body can also be seen in the way it activates the vagus nerve, altering brain chemistry, causing physiological responses with an electrical jolt.
The Emotional Body moves in a spiral way within the form as it feeds upon itself. If it is hungry for anger, it sees the anger, grabs it, and takes it in to nourish and grow itself.
The Emotional Body is also responsible for creating our perspectives in how we feel about our physical body, the way we feel about the world or our ability to be healthy or ill. Through the Emotional Body’s endless input, it holds us captive to our beliefs and perception of truth. It is that part of us that creates judgment and self-righteousness.
The Emotional Body is so strong that when the Mental Body says, “This is what I want to do”, the Emotional Body will create an illusion and trick it into bringing it what it needs and wants.
Once there is a synthesis of Body, Mind and the transformation of the emotions in the enlightened being, the Emotional Center begins to emanate energy out rather taking it in. It becomes immune to imprints or influences, you could say.
One of the best methods in gaining transformation of the Emotional Body is through meditation. By turning inwards, we develop a container that holds the aura with calmness, tranquility, a balance of nature and it is absent of extreme behaviour. It holds the qualities of wonderment and hope within its container. But it takes much discipline and time in practice before one can reach the enlightened state of equanimity and detachment.
The Emotional Body’s process of evolution is learning to contact these higher frequencies of bliss, ecstasy, wonderment and hope and then hold them long enough to imprint the cells so that one may be in a permanent state of bliss.
Spirit (The Observer)
Behind the Mental Body is Spirit. It is the one part of us that is immortal and in a continuous state of contemplation. It is our will to live, to be in existence and to pursue and evolve through the game of duality on this planet.
It is what we refer to as the “Higher Mind”, “Higher Self” or “Holy Spirit”.
The Observer is a spark from our Divine Creator that has chosen to incarnate into a physical body to experience and learn from life. It is discovered when one has entered into integration or union with all parts of the being and the emotional body has become translucent and calm.
You can see the Higher Self in action on the physical plane through the act of love and intelligence combined. It is the quiet intuitive voice that moves from a state of calmness and grace and harmlessness.
Spirit speaks through the Physical Body via the nervous system. You can observe it through the tingles you feel across your skin, the rush up the spine and sense it in deep states of relaxation as found in meditation. You can also observe it respond and guide in life through the body’s health in reaction to environments and the people surrounding you and the ease gained in moments of opportunity.
Soul (The House)
The Soul comes into being when Spirit and Matter meet and have a relationship.
The Soul is neither Spirit nor Matter. It is the force that holds the being together in existence, communicating with the brain. This part of us is not a separate part. It is the result of two parts in relationship with each other. In Human Design, you can consider the Soul to be the Monopole.
The two parts, The Mental Body (Personality Crystal) and the Physical Body (Design Crystal) agree to come together to live out a very specific path in life, for better or for worse. And with that relationship comes the Emotional Body to live with them in their home, the Soul.
It is this part of us that makes us unique with our own story. This part of us produces our moods, desires, qualities, inhibitions, feelings and our mental psychology. This in turn, produces the color of our aura, the vibratory frequency and note, type of form that we have for this lifetime and the condition and nature of our organs, glands and physical appearance.
The Soul, is a synthesis of all parts of our being playing out in unison, a very particular design or imprint on the physical plane. This relationship is governed by our heart organ and seen in the condition of our blood. It is limited in expression by the nature, quality and density of the physical body and physical health.
The Soul creates sensitivity in our being to our environment and the world around us so that we can move in a particular trajectory or life path. This sensitivity brings us in rapport with the correct environment.
Once we are in the correct environment, we can produce the activity intended for our life.
